From the reviews
I have struggled for years with neck, back and leg pain. I am an active person and it was frustrating and held me back from doing the things I enjoy. I had all the medical stuff done: mri, X-rays, steroids, muscle relaxants etc. I tried PT, stretching, yoga, cupping, dry needling, chiropractic, massage.
Darren has literally changed my life. Never thinking acupuncture would be a practice for me, I was recommended by my workout instructor for an injury. The overall quality of my mental heath, energy and focus has been transformative.
Darren is an exceptional acupuncture practitioner. He’s so in tune with your body and determining the root cause of the issue in his treatment approach. I don’t even live in the state of Vermont and I have no hesitations driving 4 hours to have a session with Darren. He’s incredible and my body thanks him!
Highly recommend Darren Maynard for acupuncture!!!! Before going to Darren's office for acupuncture, I had been experiencing chronic pain in my foot for 6 years. I am 21 years old and have been an athlete my whole life, so it has always been a struggle dealing with my foot pain.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
