Absolutely loved our experience at Massage Therapy of Fredericksburg—especially with Ronda! Ronda was friendly, funny, and incredibly attentive. She listened—to me and to my body—and adjusted the massage accordingly.
I had a 60 minute deep tissue massage. Admittedly, we were a little behind schedule getting in, and the consult part of the appointment was pretty brief, and originally I had worried it was going to negatively impact the appointment. Boy was I wrong.
Carlie gave me the best massage I’ve had in years. I only get 1–2 massages a year, and this deep tissue massage with hot stones was hands down the best since my prenatal massage 4 years ago. She truly listened to the areas that needed extra attention and applied very firm pressure (which I needed!).
What a great place for people looking to relax. We had a couples massage session with Tianna and Rhonda. They were awesome. Extremely professional and very kind. We will request them next time! Both therapists actively listened to our requests and did amazing jobs. Check in and check out were super easy.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
