From the reviews
Ali has been exceptional in helping me address an ongoing issue with carpal tunnel in my hand, which extends into pain through my shoulder blade. She has been attentive to my concerns and has consistently worked with me throughout this process.
As a weight lifter I decided to give it a try as I was experiencing tightness and soreness regularly. Jay helped me out and gave me an excellent full body massage and I feel totally refreshed and ready to tackle my next workout.
I was preparing to run the Boston Marathon and picked up a knock on my knee. I legitimately do not think I would have been able to finis the race without the marathon package and Jay’s support throughout the process. I genuinely recommend them and Boston Massage Therapy wholeheartedly!
Absolutely amazing experience at Massage Therapy of Boston! Sophie and Susanna are incredibly skilled and knowledgeable. They really listened to my concerns and tailored the session perfectly to my needs. I left feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and pain-free.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
