I was having really bad sciatica pain so I scheduled this morning and got to come in the same day. The best massage I've had. Don was amazing. I got a deep tissue. I left and the burning ceased . I got the 90 min and it was perfect. Gives time to work out all the kinks. Highly recommend!!
My first time getting a massage was at Maria Cardona's therapeutic massage. I'm stubborn lol. But my upper back is stiff all the time! Probably from being chronically stubborn. Anywho ..I like the way it's laid out, the lighting and decoration!
Maria was recommended to me two years ago and they were not wrong! The thing about Maria is she listens to what you need and that need can change week to week and she adapts her massage to what your body needs each and every visit. The studio is inviting and so relaxing.
I scheduled the 90 massage 💆♀️ with Maria, the owner. Maria was really amazing at listening to my issues and being attentive to those during the session. She was great with conversation to relax ratio (this is obviously important). Allowing me to relax but also keeping conversation fun!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
