I never write reviews however this place is worthy of praising. I went in during my lunch hour because my shoulders were hurting. My masseuse was Suzie and she was absolutely AMAZING. She took her time and worked out every knot in my back. I also did cupping, needless to say my pain is gone.
My back had been hurting for about a month. My Doctor suggested massage therapy would be beneficial instead of taking a bunch of muscle relaxers and steroids. I went to the Massage Center yesterday for a 1 hour massage. Susie was my masseuse and she was fantastic! For the first time in weeks I have little to no pain.
It was a gray experience they took me as a walk in so I only got a 30 minute appointment. (I didn’t want to wait over an hour for an hour massage) overall it was good I felt like she was going fast at first but I imagine she was trying to squeeze it all in. I’d definitely return, with an appointment though.
Lucy gave me a great massage. She gave me tissues to blow my nose in the middle of the massage, lol but really Lucy was very thorough in how she massaged my body. I had the deep tissue massage and it felt amazing, especially when she put those hot rocks on my back and those oils.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
