From the reviews
Started smoking cessation treatment after thanksgiving , stopped smoking on new years day after 27 years of smoking . Wish I could give 10 stars ! Smoke free for over 5 years now !!!
This was my 1st time getting acupuncture. I have been in so much pain for the last 2 weeks with hip and leg pain. Had steroid shot, muscle relaxers, chiropractor, stretching exercises, message....nothing helped. Doctors were treating me for sciatica. I figured I would try acupuncture, what could it hurt?
I have suffered with chronic pain in my back for 12 years. Bulging disc in my neck made life miserable. I tried everything but neck surgery. Even steroid injections in my neck🙁. Chris is very professional and kind. After a few treatments I feel 80 percent of my pain has vanished.
I felt very comfortable with Chris and he gave me some solid nutrition advice that I needed badly before my first session. Session one done and my pain is gone. Appointment set for next week and I’m bringing my boyfriend to see Chris as well. I can’t wait to see what all his treatments and advice can help me with.
Booking hijama (wet cupping) at Mandeville Acupuncture Wellness Center
Mandeville Acupuncture Wellness Center comes up as a provider that offers hijama — wet cupping, where the skin is lightly punctured after suction so a small amount of blood is drawn. If you're booking hijama specifically, a few things are worth asking before you go. First, sterility is everything — a reputable practitioner uses a fresh, single-use kit (new blades and cups) for every client and follows clean, gloved technique. It's completely fair to ask how they handle this. Second, many people booking hijama want a same-gender practitioner — ask whether that can be arranged. Third, ask about aftercare and whether they observe particular days if that matters to you.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
