From the reviews
We sought acupuncture therapy out of desperation, knowing very little about it. I am pleased to report that in the capable hands of Moses Alvarez, my husband has received significant pain relief as well as improvement in some of the symptoms he experiences from Parkinson's Disease.
I had recently pulled a muscle in my back during an exercise class. I had tried everything to relieve the pain. Then someone told me about acupuncture. I had heard that it can be very helpful with many different issues people have with their health. So I made an appointment and went to see Moses.
Moses was recommended to me by a friend for my back pain that I’ve had since being in the Military and now an Emergency room nurse. I made the decision to try acupuncture about 2 months ago. I can honestly say it has been the best decision I’ve made. After the initial appointment I was 60% decreased in pain.
I personally was a skeptic, but I kept doing my own research, and figured that acupuncture has been around for centuries. So it must work a little?!? I personally survived a vehicle accident that has done major damage to my body.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
