I love my time at Luxe Body Bar. It is truly the highlight of my week. Dani is the first person you see when you enter Luxe. I’ve now completed my 2nd visit here and both have been with Kasey. My first time in I received a relaxation massage. Walking in everyone was so friendly. Kasey gave me some options for my massage (warmer blanket, music choice, lighting) and then she got started.
Luxe Body Bar in Portage is truly exceptional. I’ve tried several services — LUXE Contour Petite (face), Vacuum Cupping, LUXE Detox Slim, LUXE Lymphatic Contour, LUXE Ageless Perfection, and the infrared sauna — and I have not been disappointed once. Every treatment feels intentional, customized, and results-driven.
Luxe Body Bar isn’t just any med spa, they are top notch. They offer many services and have several packages to choose from. I recently had the Detox Slim treatment done. Dani greeted me when I arrived and set me up for my appointment. Kasey wrapped me up nice and tight and I enjoyed a relaxing sauna session.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
