Gwen gave me a 1 hour massage that transported me to a blissful place. I went in specifically due to lingering consequences from whiplash that I experienced 6 months ago.

Gwen has magical hands and a passion for her craft. My wife and I are 50+ and very active. Many things hurt. Gwen also seems to have an approach to make things feel better. We have been friends and clients for several years. Make an appointment. You'll be back!!!!

★★★★★ — Dan, Apr 2019

Very comfortable environment. Gwen personalized a couples massage lesson for us as my wedding gift to my new wife. It's a gift that will keep on giving because she gave us great techniques to use at home.

★★★★★ — Jeff, Dec 2015

I have been going to Gwen regularly for over 4 years. She is amazing! She has a way of making you feel comfortable and relaxed, and is very open to feedback and trying different things to accommodate your unique body. I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to add massage to their self care routine!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
