From the reviews
I made an appointment with Jennifer because I was having discomfort in my neck and shoulder. I was only expecting her to work on this area, but Jennifer went far beyond this specific area. She went through my full medical history and asked questions about other areas of my body.
Jennifer is fantastic! I started seeing her during my second trimester and her services relieved so many of my pregnancy symptoms (acid reflux, lower back pain, joint pain, exhaustion, digestion, etc). She even helped prep my body for labor! Jennifer did a combo of needles, cupping, ecg, and moxi.
I am so grateful that I found Jennifer at Luna Acupunture! I saw Jennifer for my entire pregnancy and now continuing into postpartum support as well. Last year I had 2 miscarriages in a row and was looking for an acupuncturist to support me both mentally and physically in my third pregnancy.
I've been going to Jennifer (Luna Acupuncture) for a year now and what I thought is "what it is", she was able to turn around some of my health issues. For years, I had very painful, long, and intense cycles that I accepted it to be "my nature", however, thanks to Jennifer and her holistic approach of combining…
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
