From the reviews
This place has been my saving Grace, to know that I can get the relief and care I need and not worry about being able to afford it or not is priceless. Margaret and Mike are more of the type of people the world needs.
I have been going here for a month or so, maybe 7 visits, for a torn rotator cuff. The clinic is friendly, comfortable. Margaret initially treated me with acupuncture and cupping. I saw some good results. I was confused about whether to do strengthening or mobility exercises.
Louisville Community Acupuncture is wonderful. I started seeing Margaret a few months ago and at first I was skeptical because I’d never tried acupuncture or cupping. Margaret is very calming, knowledgeable and professional. I have seen significant improvements in my neck and shoulder pain.
I'm so grateful to them. I went the first week of October 2025 because I couldn't work or walk properly anymore due to sciatic nerve pain. I explained my problem, and after three sessions, the pain disappeared without me even realizing when it happened.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
