From the reviews

I have not been adjusted in years, my old chiropractor retired. I found Lonstein and started getting adjusted and all I can say he is a life saver I have little to no back pain and hip pain now.. I do a lot of heavy lifting and bending over at work. If you’re thinking of getting adjusted he is great!

Great experience, all of the staff is excellent! I feel a lot better since becoming a patient here! Everyone here works very hard to give you the best possible care, and they are all considerate and very knowledgeable. Dr. Lonstein has helped me so much with both acupuncture and chiropratic.

The best! Dr. Lonstein and staff genuinely care how you’re feeling and want to get and keep you well. The Dr has a vast knowledge and skill set for whatever ails you. I’ve been a patient for 2 years and they are simply the best. Thank you.

I have had two sessions with Dr. Lonstein so far, I'm seeing him regularly now. I have been to many Chiropractors over the decades throughout the Catskill area, and it is safe for me to say that Dr. Lonstein is by far the best Chiropractor I have had.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
