From the reviews
I highly recommend Lifeworks Health Center! Michael is an outstanding acupuncturist who truly cares about his patients. His knowledge, experience, and gentle approach make every session both relaxing and effective.
I highly recommend lifeworks! I have chronic pain from never damage left from my cancer battle. I haven't been able so far to find anything to help with it. Not pain management or Physical therapy works. I went to Michael and he said acupuncture would be beneficial.
I had such a peaceful and rejuvenating experience. I left feeling deeply cared for. I learned so much valuable information and received helpful tips that I’ll carry with me on my health journey. I’m truly grateful for this experience and can’t wait to return.
Michael does great work. I received one treatment for migraines and they have stopped. I have had back pain that he also helped with. I would suggest to anyone to try acupuncture at least once. It may seem scary or intimidating, but it truly works well.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
