From the reviews
Had my first massage at Hoboken Women's Wellness today and it was wonderful! All the staff were friendly and helpful. Julie was my massage therapist and she was amazing! She immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease. It was clear she loves what she does which is always nice!
I couldn’t recommend Life Stage Massage enough. I went for the first time this week for an induction and acupressure massage a few days ahead of my due date and I almost don’t have the words to describe the experience.
This was the best massage I have ever experienced. Chandler is incredibly skilled and intuitive. I came in with a very sore lower back and shoulders, and walked out feeling completely relaxed and pain-free. The atmosphere was serene and calming, and I felt completely comfortable throughout the entire session.
I’ve been coming here for over five years, and honestly, it’s my favorite small business in Hoboken. I usually see Catherine or Julie — they’re both incredible! — but I’ve seen almost every therapist on staff at some point, and they’re all genuinely talented and kind.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
