From the reviews

First time I did cupping. I have been hearing about it for so long and everyone I've asked recommends this place. So I thought I'd give it a go. Adil is a great at what he does .he makes you feel comfortable and fully informs you before going through treatment .

Excellent services. I have been going to Soul Mind Body for almost 2 years. I usually see Adil for wet cupping and sport massage. This has helped significantly with my migraines and is a good alternative to pharmacological management and the associated side effects.

★★★★★ — Hamza, Oct 2020

Brilliant team and the service and information provided was spot on I had my first ever cupping and deep tissue massage and it really came to light how bad my back was and it was sorted in a professional and very pain free manor

Booking hijama (wet cupping) at Leicester Hijamah

Leicester Hijamah comes up as a provider that offers hijama — wet cupping, where the skin is lightly punctured after suction so a small amount of blood is drawn. If you're booking hijama specifically, a few things are worth asking before you go. First, sterility is everything — a reputable practitioner uses a fresh, single-use kit (new blades and cups) for every client and follows clean, gloved technique. It's completely fair to ask how they handle this. Second, many people booking hijama want a same-gender practitioner — ask whether that can be arranged. Third, ask about aftercare and whether they observe particular days if that matters to you.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
