From the reviews

Stopped on my way home from O'Hare after skiing in Montana. After a poor judgment decision to ski a little run I had no business skiing, I fell and tweaked my back in a bad way. I called Lavender Spa and they were able to take me immediately.

Kind of a different little place. My husband and I usually go to a chain massage place where we live in CO, but we decided to try Lavender Spa while we were visiting for the weekend.

Jenny is great! She gives a great massage and body scrub. She makes you feel welcome and comfortable the entire time. Yes you need to pay up front but you can tip at the end. I've never felt any pressure with this. Jenny is very kind and can address any needs you might have. She recently helped me with my ankle.

Lavender Spa is by far the best quality massage I have ever had! I will no longer go elsewhere! I personally have enjoyed the 60 and 90 minute Swedish massage and even sent my husband for a deep tissue massage. Thank you Jenny for always being so very kind to your customers!!! You are the best!!!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
