From the reviews
As a holistic health care practitioner, I have had the opportunity to both know and experience the work of a wide variety of local practitioners, including acupuncturists. I also have a very high bar. Lindsay is special- a warm, engaging and deeply empathetic human being, she is also an expert at her craft.
Lindsay is knowledgeable, thorough, professional, compassionate, has a powerful balance of western and eastern medicine traiining, and, most importantly, she is effective. I never thought that my husband and I would consider acupuncture. However, Lindsay makes all the difference.
Hands down the BEST Acupuncturist! She listens to you and makes you feel comfortable. She cares so much about your health and well being. I have been going to see Lindsay since my car accident and she has been helping me with severe neck pain as well as some other things.
Professional, sincere, a huge heart, and exceptional at her craft. Lindsay has been a part of my wellness regimen now for a few months and I could not be happier! I always look forward to my next session with her. I highly recommend her to any one looking for an acupuncturist in the Burlington region!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
