From the reviews
Lake Bluff Acupuncture is my new neighborhood health gem and I would recommend it to anyone looking to improve overall health, manage stress, help with speedy athletic recovery, get rid of insomnia, eliminate any body aches and pains.
I’ve gone to Hui a couple times to address some sinus issues and she’s been beyond helpful. I am so grateful my cousin recommended her - I’ve never tried acupuncture or cupping and it’s helped me in ways OTC medicine or antibiotics haven’t been able to do.
I came to Hui Dong with my knee problem last year. Before going there I tried 2 different doctors. On my first visit Hui spend with me 2 hours!!! trying to reduce my pain and actually it worked!!!! She used a lot of techniques and of course needless! Just 3 visits and I was normal person again.
Hui is extremely caring and generous. She really gives you her full attention. You will not feel like just another patient with Hui. She truly cares and does all she can to help. She has truly helped me and I am grateful I found her.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
