From the reviews
My wife had a sudden impairment of speech, stuttering and almost slurring. As well as twitching and shakeness of limbs and we received no information from the hospital about why or what to do.
I had such a great experience with Kyle at Kuna Wellness and Acupuncture! From start to finish, he was amazing. He really took the time to sit down with me, make me feel comfortable, and fully understand what was going on. I went in with ulnar nerve pain that radiated down into my pinky finger and caused numbness.
First time getting Acupuncture. Kyle made the experience wonderful. He listened to our initial issues. Then, Kyle helped my husband and I understand what to expect. Was not scary. I had two back surgeries. I left there feeling less pain. I looked forward to getting another treatment.
Kyle is excellent. He listened to me, was attentive and knowledgable, and very good at finding the trouble areas. My neck and shoulders are so much less painful and greater mobility. Kyle has done a great job and I will continue to use his service!
Booking hijama (wet cupping) at Kuna Wellness and Acupuncture
Kuna Wellness and Acupuncture comes up as a provider that offers hijama — wet cupping, where the skin is lightly punctured after suction so a small amount of blood is drawn. If you're booking hijama specifically, a few things are worth asking before you go. First, sterility is everything — a reputable practitioner uses a fresh, single-use kit (new blades and cups) for every client and follows clean, gloved technique. It's completely fair to ask how they handle this. Second, many people booking hijama want a same-gender practitioner — ask whether that can be arranged. Third, ask about aftercare and whether they observe particular days if that matters to you.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
