From the reviews
I would 100% recommend Al at Kneaded Recovery. Sessions with Al are never a “one size fits all” massage. He sits with you to go over trouble areas and issues. He makes a plan that is personalized to your needs. He uses a variety of techniques including massage, cupping, and stretching.
When my student athlete began experiencing pain related to Sever's, I sought out Al because of his reputation. He asked for time to do some research before agreeing to treat him. My son presented with a pain level of 8.
I went and saw Al today, and it was my first time. It was a great experience! He is the first massage therapist that really helped me with my knee issue, and explained logically what is going on. He took extra time massaging the thigh area to help elongate the muscles that are shortened from when I am sitting all day.
Al, the man behind Kneaded Recovery, is both knowledgeable and skilled in his craft. And not only is he good at way he does, he’s great to be around. Provides a clean and fresh environment with great conversation (if that’s your preference) all while being attuned to you, your “kneads” and how to fix them.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
