From the reviews
The best decision I have made for my own well-being and overall health in my life. Katie is an invaluable resource for making informed decisions about your physical and mental health. I LIVE for my cupping and acupuncture sessions. I go every two weeks and also love her shop in the office.
I can’t say enough good things about Kismet Acupuncture. I’ve been going regularly for acupuncture and fire cupping with the glass cups, and it has become such an important part of my healing journey. The fire cupping is incredible and something I truly swear by.
Amazing experience and such a relief! I started getting treatments in November and have been seeing Katie weekly since. Katie is an incredible healer and really listens to your concerns and understands the body.
GO. SEE. KATIE. She is magic 🥰. As a healthcare professional myself, I am skeptical of anyone in a health profession, but she passed with flying colors. I went to her for Women's health. She is highly highly educated in Women's health and has many specialized certifications.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
