Kinematics Physical Therapy has been great for my needs. I had the pleasure of having Cassie, Matt & Christine for my physical therapists. They are all excellent! They really listen to me and assist with my individual needs on a given day.
I was sent to Kinematics to rehab a broken ankle. From day one, I knew that I was in the right place. My initial consult was very thorough. Matt was very knowledgeable, professional, informative and humorous. The entire staff at Kinematics is welcoming, engaging and excellent at getting the best out of you.
Began my journey to help heal my left knee back in late July. The first day I met Christine and she talked me through everything and was just so nice. As my next appointments came up I got to work with Jake for the most part and Cassie as well.
Great clinic! Knowledgeable therapists. I love that they offer cupping and ultrasound. One of the only places that has a great pelvic floor therapist.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
