KC Acupuncture and TCM, under the direction of Dr. Jinyu Ren and his family, have exponentially changed my life for the better! They are the best of the best, and I convey this is all sincerity and good will.
They are the best for acupuncture, cupping, and traditional Chinese medicine. Dr. Ren and Dr. Fen vary a bit in their approach, but they both achieve great results for a wide variety of conditions. They are honest and will let you know if they are not sure if they can help you. However, they are usually successful.
I have dealt with migraines/hemiplegic migraines since I was 8 years old. I haven’t been able to live the fullest life I could because of it, as some of my symptoms include slurred speech and tremors and I can’t work if I get one triggered.
Hands down, probably the best acupuncture/cupping doctors in town. Dr. Jinyu Ren is very thorough and skillful in his approach, I came to Dr. Ren with overused hamstrings after 6h of pulling weeds that had resulted in extremely limited flexibility and lots of pain in daily activities.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
