From the reviews

I’ve been seeing Dr. Chen for several months now and she has changed my life! She performs acupuncture and cupping on me, depending on my needs at the time. My anxiety has eased tremendously, and I now have a healthier gut. I have referred many friends and clients to Dr. Chen because I believe in her and her methods.

What a wonderful place to go for Acupuncture and other services like massage and herbal remedies. So professional, very clean. I’m so happy to have found this place. The owner spent a Good 80 minutes with me helping me with needles and electric, stem, and cupping as I recover from Hip replacement surgery.

I came to see Dr. Kangyan for my TMJ pains. After doing research I had trouble finding someone who accepts my State insurance. I was pleased to find out that She accepts State Medicaid/Husky insurance. Over the past 6 months I have had headaches, face, jaw, and neck pains everyday.

This doctor is amazing. I have been to many acupuncture clinics over the years because I have a chronic health condition. What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
