From the reviews

My son (10 y/o) needed PT after a reoccurring strain in his back from sports. JumpStart came highly recommended to me by a friend, who’s son had a great experience there. We couldn’t be happier with our time there.

EXCEPTIONAL! Ryan and his team (ex: Audrey and Connor) truly make people's lives better. They do so many things right, but here are three of their remarkable strengths: EVALUATION. Ryan's initial and ongoing injury evaluation is top-notch. Better than any physical therapist I've met or heard of.

★★★★★ — Jerry, Dec 2025

Jump Start Physical Therapy in Norwood is the place to go for PT. The staff is very knowledgeable in their field and create excellent recovery plans in line with your needs and goals. I've been to the facility for a couple different ailments and have been very happy with the results and care received.

★★★★★ — Chris, Feb 2025

Jumpstart Physical therapy in Norwood is a great place for physical therapy. Any therapist you see will take great care of you and help you rehab your injury. I've been a long time patient and the care is always consistent. They have done a great job helping me return to sports and rehabilitate lingering injuries.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
