Josh is very knowledgeable. He has helped me with multiple health concerns with acupuncture and Chinese herbs. He doesn’t hold back from getting into the healing with needling alone. He has used cupping, electrode acupuncture, deep massage at the closing when muscles are being addressed.
Joshua has helped me through several injuries and health challenges over the years, and I cannot recommend him enough. His knowledge of acupuncture, Chinese medicine, and overall wellness is incredible, but what really sets him apart is how much he cares about his patients.
I have been a patient of Josh for several years. Like many people, I was initially apprehensive about Chinese medicine and acupuncture. However, after hearing so many positive experiences from close friends, I decided to give it a try.
Dr. Green has made a huge difference in our kids lives! We took our 14 year old in to Dr. Green in hopes of finding some relief for a sports injury. He has been absolutely wonderful in helping our kiddo be comfortable with acupuncture, comfortable with body work, and open to alternative healing techniques.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
