From the reviews

A friend recommended Dr.Lagasse after he helped resolve his lower back pain and I’m so glad I followed that recommendation. I work a desk job, and years of sitting led to constant, chronic upper back pain. Recently, it started radiating down the backs of my arms, which was honestly concerning. I went to Dr.

I have been going to Steven at JointWorks Physical Therapy for about a month in preparation for my upcoming hip replacement surgery. I plan to see him after my surgery as well.

★★★★★ — Pam, Jul 2025

I have had chronic back pain for 40 years and had basically just learned to deal with it as it came. A dear friend recommended Dr Steven Lagasse to me telling me he was so smart and helpful and she thought he could help me.

★★★★★ — Debbie, Dec 2025

I’ve been working with Steven to address pain in my arm and shoulder, unsure of it's cause. Steven took the time to make a plan that would work for me. He introduced me to dry needling, which I was nervous to try at first. He explained everything in great detail, and it’s the best thing I have tried.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
