From the reviews

I originally went to Dr. Jiwani for an injury to my elbow but, I continued to go for regular acupuncture and cupping treatments for 9 months (until I moved) whether it was an issue with sleep, a sports injury, something constitutional or I just slept on my neck wrong, the treatment I received was exceptional and…

★★★★★ — Mark, Nov 2019

Dr. Jiwani helped relieve my chronic lower back pain when other treatments didn’t work. She explained the treatment clearly, and the acupuncture and cupping made a big difference. I highly recommend Jiwani Acupuncture for natural pain relief.

★★★★★ — Dulce, Jun 2026

I've received acupuncture from Dr. Jiwani a dozen times for pain and inflammation due to rheumatoid arthitis. She is knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely cares about helping people feel better with holistic care. After every session, I leave feeling relaxed and with diminished pain.

★★★★★ — Laila, Nov 2017

I've been going to Dr. Jiwani for about 3 weeks now and she has helped me with some pains and overall well-being. She is very gentle but yet thorough. She helped me unveil problems I didn't even know I had! Bonus point, she agrees to take my insurance with a minimal co-pay.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
