From the reviews

Look nowhere else for an Acupuncturist. You have found a true healer. He knows exactly where to put the needles. He is one of the kindest and humblest individuals I've ever met. Make sure to ask him if any chinese herbs he has in stock will work synergistically with the condition you are being treated for.

I recently experienced an exceptional acupuncture treatment that I would like to share. The care and expertise provided by the practitioner were truly remarkable. From the moment I entered the serene and welcoming clinic, I felt at ease.

I had tendonitis of the bicep + a slightly torn rotator cuff. I saw Dr. Yu for 6 consecutive Mondays and am back to 100%. I started with not being able to lift my purse, back to a full golf swing in 6 weeks. I was also surprised at how relaxing the experience was - I fell asleep during my last 3 sessions.

Highly recommended Dr. Yu! I have been having really bad back pain due to pregnancy and after 3 visits I am 10x better. It was hard for me to even walk before the treatments and now I feel almost back to normal. Dr. Yu is always super nice and professional.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
