Why Jin Choe Acupuncture + Wellness is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “believes in the connection of body, mind and spirit. Based on your individual needs, Jin will come up with a full treatment plan built off of acupuncture treatments and layering in beneficial techniques such as Gua Sha, Cupping and Chinese…” source →

Booking your cupping session

  • Session price around $200 a session — confirm current pricing and whether cupping is standalone or added to a massage/acupuncture visit
  • Payment reportedly accepts insurance; HSA/FSA cards accepted — verify coverage before your visit, since cupping is often billed under manual therapy or acupuncture
  • Walk-ins walk-ins welcome — but calling ahead is safest for a cupping appointment

From the reviews

Jin was honestly an experience like no other. My experience began with her in early 2022 when I was experiencing really bad side effects of COVID-19. I was experiencing symptoms such as very bad fatigue to the point where it was painful to stand, constant dizziness in my head, my nervous system being shaky and weak…

Jin is a healer. She is a very knowledgeable, kind and compassionate person. I have been going to her for a year and have loved every single of my sessions. Her place is very calm and relaxing. I definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a great acupuncturist.

I am so thankful I found Jin! Her support in my fertility journey was integral in my ability to get and stay pregnant at age 42. I always left her office feeling revitalized and looked forward to each appointment!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
