From the reviews

Heidi is my miracle worker! After years of trying (since 2021) with IUIs and a round of unsuccessful IVF, we turned to Heidi for help. Along with lifestyle changes and seeing her weekly, we naturally conceived in about 6 months.

I had never had acupuncture before I visited Dr. Kao’s clinic. I was navigating trauma and not sleeping and my body was in constant fight or flight mode, which lead to a lot of inflammation. After my first session, I felt SO much calmer and my nervous system felt regulated.

★★★★★ — Marissa, Apr 2025

This was my first experience with acupuncture and it will definitely not be my last. Dr Heidi answered all my questions and showed great interest in me, not just as a patient but as a person. I would highly recommend this practice.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a long time but, with a new baby time got away from me. I went through fertility testing and they recommended IUI then IVF. But I wanted to try something else before going that route. I had never tried acupuncture before in my life. I spent 2.5 months with Dr.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
