From the reviews
I recently visited integrative shifa for dry cupping. It was second experience with this type of procedure. The first I did it was somewhere else but I did not get a walk through prior to the procedure starting. Asifuddin made sure to discuss all of the details and emphasizing a lot of the smaller details.
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته I came in for a Hijama session الحمد لله and was warmly welcomed by Shaykh Asif into a very organized, clean, and homey office ما شاء الله. I felt peace just being there. Shaykh Asif is very kind, soft, and welcoming.
Had a hijama session at Integrative shifa and it was great. He did a quick health assessment, explained everything clearly, and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I left feeling lighter and with less tension. He also gave me simple health tips and good product recommendations that are helping in my daily life.
Alhamdulilah had a great experience with Hijamah session. Highly recommended.
Booking hijama (wet cupping) at Integrative Shifa
Integrative Shifa comes up as a provider that offers hijama — wet cupping, where the skin is lightly punctured after suction so a small amount of blood is drawn. If you're booking hijama specifically, a few things are worth asking before you go. First, sterility is everything — a reputable practitioner uses a fresh, single-use kit (new blades and cups) for every client and follows clean, gloved technique. It's completely fair to ask how they handle this. Second, many people booking hijama want a same-gender practitioner — ask whether that can be arranged. Third, ask about aftercare and whether they observe particular days if that matters to you.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
