From the reviews

Last Thursday was my first appointment with Trish, the psych NP at Integrated Health. I had been so anxious about this visit. Ironically, I actually ran into both Trish and her assistant, Kim just days before my appointment. I will never forget either of these two women.

I would like to thank Carterville Integrated Health for helping me get back on track with my physical health. Dr. Ashbey has done a fantastic job with my spine/sacral adjustments and hints to help me with my gait. Massage therapists, Scott and Sara, have been amazing while working through some very tough muscle pain.

The team at Integrated Health has always been incredible. Trish Phemister and her staff have supported me through the loss of my son with cutting-edge treatments like Spravato. I truly don’t know where I’d be today without their unwavering dedication and hard work.

Love love love Morgan Gant! She is the best behavior health doctor I have ever had. She is so personable, compassionate and concerned for her patients. I highly recommend her for anyone going through mental health issues or illness! Dr McCain is my new family physician.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
