“Carey did an amazing job with the prenatal massage, making sure I was comfortable and still applying great pressure.”
“Carey was able to help me turn a corner in my recovery from a painful back injury (a standard "relaxation" massage simply wasn't going to cut it).”
“Affordable entry to truly therapeutic bodywork.”
From the reviews
Like many clients, Carey came highly recommended through word of mouth. I’ve never been a huge massage fan but after several visits to a chiropractor it was recommended that a therapeutic massage would help my muscles to release tension better and keep my alignments in check.
Carey is an amazing massage therapist! She is thorough and detailed-oriented. She has helped me work through injuries and chronic pain. She knows the anatomy of the body so well, which helps target areas of pain to work through as well lymphatic drainage and cupping therapy when necessary.
Carey is so knowledgeable. I tried several other therapists before I found Carey, and it was evident I was in the hands of a true professional. The Cupping is intense but so helpful as well.
Carey is the best! Very skilled, she often incorporates cupping into our sessions, and has helped me with addressing lower back pain. Highly recommend!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
