From the reviews

Love this place! I’ve been coming here for a couple months for a work related injury. I receive acupuncture and cupping and always leave feeling so much better and so relaxed. Dr. Hong is wonderful, professional, and detail oriented.

Doctor Hong is an amazing practitioner who has helped me tremendously with my muscle tightness and pain. He is very knowledgeable and his interventions were very effective. The staff is always outstanding as well and even offer me a free cup of tea each time I go.

★★★★★ — Jordan, Aug 2022

Inglewood Acupuncture is an extension of my village, my community. From my very first visit, everyone there was warm and made me feel welcomed and cared for. Dr. Hong is deeply knowledgeable and provides excellent treatment. He truly listens to your concerns and addresses them holistically.

★★★★★ — Cassandra, Jul 2021

TL;DR: Dr. Kris and his staff is the absolute best in everything. Scheduling, treatment, courtesy, cleanliness, communication. EVERYTHING! Where do I start with Dr. Kris... I went to the emergency room for bell's palsy and got worked up for a stroke and the next day I was recommended to Dr. Kris for acupuncture.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
