From the reviews

Kim has been (and is continuing to be) absolutely instrumental is helping my body recover from several chronic illnesses that have plagued me for over 2 years. I was looking for help with blood sugar control when I made my first appointment with her.

★★★★★ — Ginger, Feb 2018

The benefits of acupuncture never cease to amaze me. I went to see Kim for head and neck pain due to stress. The results were astounding with my head literally feeling lighter and a sense of calmness in my whole body. I went from being way inside my head into feeling grounded at the end of this treatment. Thank you Dr.

I always feel better after seeing Dr.Zurich. She has a unique way of listening to my physical, mental, and emotional symptoms and creating a treatment that helps my whole being. I have worked with many acupuncturists and Dr.Zurich is one of the best.

★★★★★ — Alexandra, Jul 2020

I've been seeing Dr. Zurich for about 6 months now with a focus on women's health and fertility -- I highly recommend her. Dr. Z's approach is thoughtful and earnest and I feel like she is focused on tailoring our sessions to what works best for me.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
