I would like to say, this was the most healing massage session I’ve had, James was extremely attentive, to all my aches and pains. I really felt like I was given a new body. I’m grateful for people like James that was created to heal the parts of the body we as regular people can’t fix. Thank you James.

★★★★★ — Melissa, Jan 2026

My wife has been seeing James for years, originally at The Castle (in Tarrytown) and after it closed at home. I had developed severe congestion and overall pains as a result of a cold which lingered for weeks. James gave me a massage focusing on these areas which was very helpful in clearing the congestion.

★★★★★ — Ken, Jan 2026

James has been my massage therapist for over 10 years. He is excellent at both sports and Thai massage. He has amazing healing hands that seem to find each knot in my muscles and patiently relieve each part of my body and its accumulated stress. I always feel so much better after each session.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
