Today I went to see Krista @ Hundred Grasses. I was told I had TMJ a few years ago, but it was always just a toothache. Yesterday I woke up with a locked jaw, and I wasn’t able to eat anything or open my mouth at all. After one session I was able to eat dinner tonight with much less pain.

I’ve really appreciated not just the acupuncture and herbs in my journey to feel more regulated and recovered, but the conversations about framing life and moving through it. The perspective and knowledge are priceless and I’m really glad I found Hundreds Grasses!

★★★★★ — Amber, Apr 2026

I have been seeing Krista at Hundred Grasses off and on for years. I work so hard and really need a healthcare provider whose opinion I trust deeply and who gets great results. I need to be on my feet for long days, do my workouts and be present to my family. She is insightful, skilled, practical and warm.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
