I recently found this gem of place for all types of massage. i recently tried lymphatic drainage massage and felt better later that day . I have also had swedish massage that was great too. Ellen really cares about people and her massages show this. Also I got nutrition counseling from Nomuna that was very through.
My wife and I had been looking for a good massage place for a while and finally found a gem near our home. The massage was perfect and very good addressing all my trouble points from lifting weights. I highly recommend this place and Ellen she is amazing.
I've been going to Ellen for over two years at her Glenview location (I live near Park Ridge). She is an amazing masseuse and goes above and beyond every time I see her. She has a card club, and I've purchased the cards and a first massage for several friends and colleagues.
Ellen at Hu Knew is an excellent massage therapist who works on my severe back issues. She’s well versed in different modalities of massage practices & priced very well. Highly recommend! Additionally, the strip mall west of her practice has an herbal store that offers eastern herbs, vitamins, etc for discount prices.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
