From the reviews
As a veteran, Dr. Wang is the ideal healthcare practitioner, really listening to and hearing what I said was hurting, and consistently showing care and skill in administering the treatment modalities she deemed necessary for me: acupuncture, fire cupping, and acupressure massage.
My car accident happened 34 years ago—and the chronic neck and back pain never left. For decades, I adapted, endured, and accepted limitations as 'just how life is now.' Simple things—grocery shopping, household chores, even sitting comfortably—were battles. Then, this April, I tried acupuncture.
I went to Dr. Wang with severe lower back pain that was affecting my sleep and daily life. I could barely sit or stand for long without discomfort. She took my concerns seriously, did a thorough evaluation, and explained exactly what was going on. After following her treatment plan, my pain improved significantly.
Yushi is incredibly attentive and truly listens to your needs, offering as much support as possible during every session. She is also very friendly and makes you feel completely at ease, creating a safe space where you can open your heart and speak freely. I genuinely felt heard and understood.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
