From the reviews
Holistic Health Center is such a welcoming place. Dianne always does an amazing job with her massages. I recently had something done called cupping on my lower back. It was fantastic. I have been out of pain for quite sometime now thanks to Dianne and all her talent in her massage theropy.
I consider this my healing reprieve. This place is ideal especially for those of us who work our body hard and only slow down when the pain is extreme. Dianne was sensitive enough to my pain to offer me an appointment within a couple days.
This review is biased, for what it's worth. I am Dianne's son, and here is my review based on being around for her Massage career since the beginning 23 or so years ago. Back then she went to school to be a massage therapist and went straight to it. As a family member, I was the experiment and so were my brothers.
I have been getting massages from Dianne Renninger since 2008 and I recommend her unreservedly. She is genuinely interested in my welfare. She listens to my concerns and has compassionately worked with my idiosyncrasies. I am diagnosed with moderate to severe scoliosis and this condition can be a challenge to address.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
