From the reviews
I have been using Beckie for a few months now. I had never had any acupuncture or cupping done previously. She is amazing at explaining all of the benefits of each, and really takes the time to ask how you have been feeling the week previously so she can adjust and customize your treatment.
I went in for burning neck and back muscles, night sweats and other autoimmune issues. I have been seeing Beckie for a few months now. She has an easy-casual way of listening to your challenges and making a former “needle phobia” relax and heal through acupuncture, cupping, 10’s unit vibration and ear seeding!
I had cupping done here and it was truly incredible! Beckie was so knowledgeable and was happy to do the session to my level of comfort! The result was pretty immediate relief on my muscles that were in pain from lifting. Her space was relaxing, calm, and clean and Beckie was a pro. Thanks for helping me!
Beckie has helped me with so many different things through her extensive knowledge and expertise surrounding all things Traditional Chinese Medicine. I live a very active lifestyle through both my work and my hobbies and Beckie's treatments have allowed me to continue to do so.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
