Raf took over the business for Tammy, so I know we were all apprehensive about that transfer. Rest assured - Raf is incredible and an excellent surrogate. I had never had a male masseuse before (I’m female), but Raf makes me feel SO comfortable.
RAF is the best massage therapist I have ever seen and I’ve seen many. He understands the body, listens to my requests and provides just the therapeutic massage I need. His space is calm and peaceful, as well as his energy.
After not having a massage for almost 2 years due to Covid, I went to see Tammy at Healing Massage Wellness in December of 2021. I have always enjoyed Deep Tissue Massage to work out the knots and any discomfort in my shoulders/back. When I first saw Tammy we discussed my areas of concern. Tammy is awesome!
Tammy is amazing! She is truly gifted and clearly loves what she does. She is warm, caring and professional and the office is a simple, beautiful, relaxing space. I have seen her twice and have made a third appointment. I have never done that with any other Massage Therapist.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
