Why Healing Massage Retreat is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “Cold Stones or Both? Hot stones help loosen the muscles using heat. Cold stones help reduce inflammation in the body using cold. Hot stones and cold stones can be used throughout the entire body including the face. --> Cupping Under…” source →

From the reviews

Healing Massage Retreat has been an answered prayer for me. I have been searching for a place to get a good deep tissue massage. Until a few months ago,I had only found places that would give a decent, generic massage. I am glad I did not give up my search.

Andrea is the BEST! I always feel like a million dollars when I leave! The atmosphere there is nice and cozy and makes you feel like you're at home rather than in a waiting room.

I went for a massage with Cassondra. She is amazing. She is very knowledgeable and has a great way of explaining things. I have been to mutiple doctors but she worded my neck and shoulder problems in a way I could understand. She really took her time on my trouble areas.

I came in 10 minutes late, and Kossandra was still able to fit me in. I feel absolutely amazing, and enjoyed speaking to Kossandra during my lymphatic drainage massage. I will definitely be coming back soon to experience the different massage techniques offered.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
