Great massage! We had Coco and Hanna who were very nice. The fire suction cups were a great experience for my really tense back and shoulder on the right side. I think I gotten back some flexibility on the right arm.
I had the best massage of my life at Aura Massage and Spa with Jennifer and Coco. I’m currently pregnant, and they made the entire experience feel so safe and relaxing. They were genuinely caring, checking in often and adjusting everything to ensure my comfort.
I was able to get a same-day appointment at Massage Choice Therapy, which was a huge plus. The place was spotless and very well maintained. I really appreciated the attention to detail—they even had a brand-new mat at the entrance for the rainy weather, and I was the first to take the tags off it.
Jennifer was wonderful! I have seen her twice in the past month. She provided strong and consistent pressure the whole massage with great care for problem areas. I generally struggle to find a therapist strong enough to give me the pressure I need, but she was excellent!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
