Why Haven Community Acupuncture is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “menstruation, extreme pain, and inflammation. Herbal formulas contain common herbs we know today such as cinnamon, ginger, orange peels, mint, and fennel. Acupuncture and herbs are used together to reinforce each other. Cupping: $50…” source →

From the reviews
I was so pleased to have Synthia give me a treatment today down in their Chula Vista location. After calling Ashley at the North Park location with a hip emergency - she called the Chula Vista location to get me in there right away. Well well...it was just down the 805 not too far.
I can’t say enough good things about my experience with acupuncture! I had been struggling with shoulder pain for quite some time, and nothing seemed to provide lasting relief. After trying different treatments, I decided to give acupuncture a chance, and I’m so glad I did!
As a new patient visiting from out of town, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Dr. Amaya was incredibly kind, professional, and genuinely listened to my concerns. I came in with neck and back pain that had seriously limited my mobility for over five weeks.
Haven community Acupuncture is the best!!! I have been working with Carol for years and she is easily the best acupuncturist! I’ve gone to about half a dozen different Acupuncture places and this is the only place I go now.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
