I had a massage with Amanda and it was nothing short of amazing. AMAZING and relaxing massage. I love a deep tissue/sports massage and she is the absolute best. No nickel and dining with up-charges, cupping and oils were included! Best massage in town!!!!
Went to fix a muscle pain in the neck I had been struggling with. I get a massage once a month but decided to try Harlo while in town. This was the best massage I’ve ever had. Very professional and exactly what I needed. I don’t think I can go anywhere else now!
Amanda is one of the best hands-on therapists in Reno, across all professions. I rely on her use of scraping and cupping to level up the therapeutic effect of her massage. When I'm up for a more relaxing experience, I tell her and she delivers that too. I love her use of the monthly rotating essential oils as well.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
