From the reviews

My wife visited Hands On in Zebulon for plantar fasciitis relief and this is her response: "I was very pleased with the service I received. My family and I have gone to UNC/Rex, Duke and WakeMed doctors for years and Hands On was on par with the level of service I've received from the other 'big box' providers.

I was referred to Hands On Physical Therapy by a friend who was a very pleased client. The great team there consisted of the physical therapist, Brianca and her able assistant Becca.

★★★★★ — Gene, Feb 2020

Hi, I have been treated at the Zebulon location for two different injuries at two different times. After extensive shoulder surgery, I began my first treatment plan. I have been greatly rewarded by the execution of the shoulder treatment plan outlined by Kathy, and executed by Deanna and Krishna.

★★★★★ — Palet, Feb 2024

I Greg Richert have had a left knee replacement. The staff at the Zebulon location lead by Jennifer working their magic had me my goal faster than when I had my right knee done. A very caring team looking after my needs along with the need of others.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
