From the reviews
Dr. Jeff's exceptional expertise in his profession was evident throughout our session. While I initially felt apprehensive about trying acupuncture and fire cupping, Dr. Jeff's professionalism quickly alleviated my concerns.
As a veteran, I know what it’s like to live with chronic pain and just push through it. When I first started seeing Dr. Jeff at Hands for Healing Acupuncture, I was in so much pain that I honestly thought I was going to have to find another job because I couldn’t keep going like that.
After several visits to Dr. Jeff for acupuncture, I decided to try a massage with Austin. As a hairdresser, I often struggle with tension in my shoulders, neck, and back, so this massage was much needed! Austin offers a special for new clients—just $75 for an hour, which is very reasonably priced.
Dr. Jeff is extremely personable, kind and knowledgeable. I have been going to Dr. Jeff weekly for acupuncture on my ankle for almost a month and I definitely feel the improvement in not only the movement but pain as well. He keeps me well informed and truly knows his craft. I highly recommend Dr.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
