From the reviews
I went with pain in my neck and shoulder about 2 weeks ago. From the moment I called to schedule an appointment I new this is the right place for me. Sarah gave me the comfort and assurance that I will be cared for.
Great Lakes Health and Wellness has been a life changer and has increased my mobility and decreased pain. I’ve been to other chiropractic centers and once the pain was gone, work and other life priorities took over my free time again and that’s why I ended up falling back into the same routine of pain and reduced…
From the moment you walk in, Brooke and Olivia make you feel right at home—they’re warm, welcoming, and always upbeat. Dr. Brian is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also fun to be around. He explains everything clearly, keeps the energy light, and makes each visit something to look forward to.
This place sets you up for success for the rest of your life! Been seeing Dr. Dylan and Dr. Brian and they are amazing at what they do. I was hesitant because of a not so great experience at a different chiropractic place. Brooke and everyone there is super kind and thoughtful.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
